Product safety

In an effort to provide better regulated consumer goods, from December 2024 onward all sellers within the EU have new responsibilities to fulfill. These responsibilities are bundled into something called the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulations). The GPSR ensures that all products sold in the EU are safe for consumers. To guarantee this, manufacturers (which I am considered to be one of under these conditions) must provide clear instructions and warnings for their items, evaluate potential risks, and maintain product traceabilty.

To comply with these safety standards I have added this section to my site/online shop, where I’ve put all potential risks, materials and proper use information together to be as transparent as possible about all of my products:

PACKAGING

At conventions most of my packaging material is paper in an attempt to reduce the impact my business has on the environment. But this is not always possible when shipping items through my webshop and wanting to guarantee things come without scratches or water damage. In this case I will use bubble envelopes, plastic sleeves and the occasional bubble wrap to make sure items arrive safely and in the best possible condition.

I do try to reuse a good portion of packaging material I get through ordering my own merchandise and other orders I place. It differs from time to time what I have available to do this with, but this could apply (but is not limited) to:

 ★ Bubble wrap

★ Paper wrap

 ★ Cardboard backings

★ Package boxes, especially if an order is big

Risks & safety:

Keep all packaging away from young children and pets. Plastic packaging can be a choking hazard. This applies to the bubble envelopes, plastic sleeves, and bubble wrap.

Used materials:

Baggies and envelopes at conventions: kraft paper

A3 envelopes at conventions: sturdy paper and cardboard backing

A3 sleeves at conventions: plastic

Business & thank you cards: coated paper

Paper wrap: kraft paper

Bubble envelopes: plastic

sleeves for art prints and stickers: plastic

Bubble wrap: plastic

Proper use:

Reuse when possible, and if not possible please deposit packaging materials in the correct recycling/waste bin.

Please keep packaging materials away from young children and pets

If you have further questions, feedback, or a complaint about any of my items, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via nekouhaishop@gmail.com. Together we can find a solution for whatever the issue might be, whether that’s providing you with a replacement, offering you a refund, or anything in between. On top of that, if an issue is found to be applicable to a batch or line of products, I will take note and withdraw the affected items from sale immediately. In such cases you are welcome to contact me directly through the same aforementioned email address and claim a refund.

I am fully committed to comply to the best of my abilities, and I appreciate your understanding and trust in me running my business in the best way possible.
